The 2026 annual parish meeting for electors was held at Bishopsteignton Community Centre on Monday 30 March at 6pm. This was a great opportunity for parishioners to share news, celebrate our 2025-26 community heroes, meet councillors and raise any concerns regarding parish matters/assets. A total of 40 people attended making a pleasant social occasion where refreshments were enjoyed.
The individual winner is Jessica Moore for the selfless, courageous and generous act of donating a kidney to a friend in need. Liz Kirkland, as the recipient of Jess’ donation took the opportunity to explain how much this meant to her and how quality of life has improved. Her thanks to Jess was heartfelt and emotional!
The winning community group was Bishopsteignton Outdoor Art Group (BOAG), gratefully recieved by their leader Caroline Martin-Early. A dedicated team of creative parishioners of all ages. This not-for-profit group have entertained us with various themed and comical trails throught the village for years. A moving dedication was made by Caroline to the groups creator, Gill Greatorex.
